Deferments
The
University no longer grants deferments for most financial
aid. If you've completed all steps for your financial aid
package your aid will automatically appear on your fee bill
or on-line account as "Anticipated Aid." If your
university financial aid doesn't appear under "Anticipated
Aid" it means that you haven't finished one or more
steps such as accepting your aid or signing a promissory
note. If you need to inquire about your financial aid you
may call the UConn Financial Aid office at (860) 486-2819.
You
may, however, request a deferment for outside scholarships
that are not processed through the UConn Financial Aid Office.
If you have an outside (i.e., private) scholarship that
has not yet been listed as a credit on your latest bill
we will temporarily defer the
value of the scholarship for a short period of time until
your scholarship is received by the university.
NOTE:
Please be aware that outside scholarships that haven't been
reported to the UConn Financial Aid Office may reduce your
final aid package, especially if you are receiving a University
Tuition Remission Grant.
